# Will my assets be blocked from trading as soon as placing a bid?

It depends on the rule of each blockchain.\
\
For EVM chains, your assets won't be blocked by anyone while bidding. The amount that you have bid remains in your wallet and not be kept in any contracts. It will not be deducted until the end of the auction.

For non-EVM chains (Sei Network and Injective), your assets will be kept in the contract while bidding, so it will be deducted from your wallet. Once there is a higher bidder, you will receive the token back to your wallet. In case there is no higher bidder and you are the highest bidder through the time, the bid amount will be locked until auction expired. Once it's expired, you will win the auction and receive the NFT.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.dagora.xyz/beginners-guide/faqs/will-my-assets-be-blocked-from-trading-as-soon-as-placing-a-bid.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
